Our Farm Managers
The farms wouldn’t be the successful businesses they are today without the talent and expertise of our farm managers, Ed Jones and Richard Aldis. Each heading up small but hugely competent teams, Ed and Richard deal with everything to do with the running of the farms
Farm Manager - Burtley
Joining Burtley in late 2018, our new Farm Manager, Richard is highly experienced with over 35 years in the industry. Richard trained at Lancashire College of Agriculture and Cheshire College of Agriculture. During his career Richard has managed farms for private owners, educational establishments, and has farmed in partnership with the National Trust. Working alongside Richard is Nik, a local farmers son with a passion for livestock farming. Nik graduated from Harlow College with a National Diploma in Agriculture and has a decade's experience in farming.
Farm Manager - Wilmaston
The farm is managed by Ed Jones who took on the position in 2014, Ed had previously been the assistant manager at the farm in Burtley, and has been heavily involved in farming throughout his life. Ed’s team which include Nick and Morgan provide a wealth of experience and expertise in what is a thriving enterprise.
An unlikely sidekick and the newest addition to the family at Wilmaston is Rosie, the sausage dog!
